This was a recipe i actually got from Linzy over at her blog. So all credit goes to her.

Ingredients

  • Lemon

  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey

  • Ginger root that is sliced thinly

  • 2 star anise

  • 1 cinnamon stick

Steps

  • Cut up the lemon into two and squeeze it into a jar or cup. Make sure you squeeze is well so you can get out all the juice. One way to do this is by sticking a fork and twisting it in.

  • Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey depending on your sweet tooth level.

  • Take the thinly sliced ginger and toss them into the jar

  • Add your preffered spices. Some which you can use include anise, cloves, hibiscus, lavender or a dash of cayenne pepper.

  • Boil some water and pour it into the jar. Seal it and shake gently so that all the ingredients are well mixed.

  • Allow it to cool down and settle for about 30 minutes. Then take out the ingredients and enjoy your tea.

Ingredient

  • 1 fresh ginger root                           

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 6 oz apple juice concentrate            

  • 1/3 honey

  • Juice of 1 fresh lemon

Steps

  • Chop the ginger root in ¼ inch slices (rounds) using approximately 8 – 10 inches of the root.  

  • Add enough water to cover the slices in a saucepan.  

  • Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 45 minutes.

  • Add cayenne, honey, lemon juice and apple juice concentrate, using relative amounts to suit your taste.
